What the Loop switch does
Loop sits on the video page, next to duration. With it on, MotionLab renders the clip to return to the frame it started on, trims the duplicate closing frame so the join does not stutter, and treats the audio at the seam — joined smoothly, or muted if your track does not match the clip length. Every Loop render is seam-checked automatically and the take is flagged when the join is still visible, so nothing goes on a screen on the assumption that it worked. It runs on MotionLab image-to-video renders: a start image is required, and an End image cannot be used at the same time.

How do I make an AI video actually loop seamlessly?
In MotionLab, switch Loop on before you render. The clip is generated to return to its opening frame and the duplicate closing frame is trimmed, so it plays continuously with no crossfade and no ping-pong. Prompt for cyclical, constant-speed motion to make the cycle convincing. Every Loop render is seam-checked and flagged when the join is still visible, so a weak take is obvious before you publish it.
Is the Loop switch available on every render?
It runs on MotionLab image-to-video renders and needs a start image — the frame it loops back to. It cannot be combined with an End image, since Loop already uses your first image as the ending, and it is not available in Multi-Reference mode. If you uploaded an audio track, you choose whether the audio is joined smoothly at the seam or muted while the video loops.
What length should a background loop be?
For web and signage, 6-12 seconds balances variety against file size; MotionLab generates 4-15 seconds. For music use, match a bar count — at 120 BPM an 8-second loop is exactly 4 bars.
