Terms of Service

MotionLab provides tools for AI video, images, audio and music, 3D assets, upscaling, visual loops, and related editing. The service also includes the browser-based Timeline editor, the chat-based Motion Studio, account libraries, public showcases, and, where enabled, MCP connections, command-line tools, and Enterprise API access.

Available tools, models, formats, limits, and prices depend on your account and the current product offering. We may add, replace, or retire individual features or providers. Changes to paid subscriptions, material changes to these Terms, and permanent closure are subject to the notice provisions below. A separate agreement signed with an Enterprise customer controls any conflicting terms for that engagement.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum age required by the laws that apply to you. Provide accurate account details, keep your email current, and protect your account and credentials. You are responsible for the use you authorize under your account.

When you connect an AI assistant, MCP client, or other application, review the permissions you grant. An authorized tool can access account information and submit work within those permissions; generation can spend the same credits you use on the website. Review automated requests and any spending controls before enabling them.

Keep API keys and access tokens secret. You can revoke connected-app access or API keys through the available account controls. Revocation prevents future authorized calls; it does not cancel jobs already submitted or erase copies a connected application has received. Contact support@motionlab.art promptly about suspected unauthorized use.

Credit packs are one-time purchases and do not automatically renew. Purchased credits have no scheduled expiry while your account and the service remain available. They are a balance for using MotionLab, not a bank deposit or transferable currency. Permanent service closure is handled under Service closure.

Credits are deducted when a generation or processing request is accepted, before the result is delivered. The amount depends on the tool and settings, including model, duration, resolution, and output options. Review the displayed cost or API estimate before submitting work. Future price changes do not reprice a job already accepted.

Dodo Payments handles checkout and payment processing as merchant of record. The checkout and receipt identify the charge, currency, applicable taxes, and payment terms. Credit restoration after a failed job is different from a refund to your payment method. Our Credit & Refund Policy explains technical failures, cancellation, safety blocks, and payment requests.

Motion Studio may offer free usage and an optional paid subscription. Its message allowances and model access are separate from generation credits. A subscription does not make other paid generation unlimited. Current prices, billing periods, included features, and limits are shown when you subscribe.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. To cancel, email support@motionlab.art from your account email, identifying the subscription, or use any cancellation option supplied with your billing details. Ordinary cancellation stops future renewal and leaves paid access available until the end of the paid period. Mandatory cancellation and refund rights still apply.

We will notify affected subscribers before a material change to subscription pricing or included paid access takes effect, with an opportunity to cancel before the next affected renewal. Reaching a disclosed usage limit is not a technical failure. Ending a subscription does not itself delete exported work, but the normal storage and deletion rules continue to apply.

Inputs include prompts, chat messages, images, videos, audio, voices, reference files, project data, and other material you submit. You retain your rights in your inputs and must have the permissions needed for MotionLab and its service providers to process them.

You grant MotionLab a non-exclusive permission to host, copy, transmit, transform, and process your inputs and outputs as needed to provide the requested service, maintain your library, and handle support, security, and legal obligations. This does not transfer ownership of your material. Our Privacy Policy explains provider processing and data use.

Do not submit material that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or likeness rights, or conflicts with confidentiality obligations. Obtain required permissions for other people's images, voices, performances, and personal information.

Outputs include generated or edited images, video, audio, 3D files, motion compositions, code, previews, and exports. As between you and MotionLab, MotionLab does not claim ownership of your inputs or outputs. This applies to both private and publicly shared work, subject to the processing and sharing permissions in these Terms.

You may use outputs in personal and commercial projects subject to your input rights, payment obligations, applicable law, and model or provider restrictions. Review our Commercial Use Policy and Third-Party Notices. Access to a tool does not grant ownership of its underlying software, models, or third-party assets.

AI output may be inaccurate, similar to other work, or unsuitable for a particular use. We do not guarantee uniqueness, copyright protection, non-infringement, musical clearance, or fitness for a specific client or production. Review the complete output, including audio and generated code, before use.

Your work is not automatically published in the Community gallery. Public sharing and publication depend on the controls and permissions available to your account; access to the service does not guarantee publication. Media links you send to others may allow them to view or copy the file. See Uploaded Assets Privacy for the limits of media-link privacy.

When you make work public, or authorize us to do so, you grant MotionLab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, display, reproduce, and share that work in connection with the service, its public showcases, and promotional previews. Publishing an output does not separately authorize publication of its source uploads, although the output itself may reveal their content.

Public work can be indexed by search engines, embedded, cached, or copied by others. Request removal through the available controls or support. Removal from MotionLab cannot recall copies made by third parties. Viewing community work does not by itself grant permission to sell or reuse it.

Download and keep your own copies of important work. MotionLab is a creative service, not a permanent archive. Saving a project or exporting an output to your account does not guarantee that its media will be stored indefinitely.

• Website generations and exports: completed and other finished jobs that are not marked as favorites are eligible for automatic deletion 30 days after creation. This includes Timeline and Motion Studio exports. Failed jobs that are not favorites are eligible for deletion three days after their last status change.
• Favorites: marking a job as a favorite excludes it from routine job cleanup while it remains favorited. This does not override your deletion request, policy enforcement, or service closure.
• Enterprise API: download outputs before the expiry returned with the job. API media can expire independently of website retention; job and billing records may remain after media deletion.

Temporary uploads and unused project assets may be cleaned up separately. Removing an item from your library can precede deletion of its stored files; cleanup may take additional time or retry after a storage error.

Browser editing and exports depend on your device, browser storage, and supported formats. Local changes may be lost if they are not saved or if you clear browser data. Save projects and check downloads before relying on them for a deadline. Deleting a completed output does not reverse its generation charge.

Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. Do not use MotionLab for unlawful, exploitative, deceptive, abusive, infringing, or non-consensual content. Do not bypass safety checks, access another user's data, upload malicious code, evade credit or usage limits, or disrupt the service.

Authorized automation through our available API and agent tools is permitted within its scopes and limits. It does not permit scraping private data, abusing promotions, or circumventing access restrictions. Applicable export controls and sanctions must be observed.

Third-party model and software terms may impose additional obligations, including restrictions on use or distribution. Do not falsely imply endorsement by MotionLab, a model provider, an artist, or a brand. Our software, branding, workflows, and platform materials remain owned by MotionLab or their licensors; permission to use an output does not authorize resale of the platform itself.

We aim to provide a reliable creative service, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a specific generation time, continued availability of every model, or successful results for every request. Queues, infrastructure, external providers, and network or browser conditions can cause delays or failures.

Features identified as beta, preview, or experimental may change or be withdrawn. Except where required by law or a separate agreement, the service is provided as available, without warranties of suitability for a particular purpose. These limitations do not override paid-service remedies or the planned-closure commitments below.

We may restrict or suspend access to address a material breach of these Terms, fraud, a security threat, or a legal requirement. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact us for review. Immediate action may be necessary to protect people, data, or the service.

You may stop using MotionLab and request account closure through support@motionlab.art. Cancel any active subscription as part of that request; deleting files or revoking a connection alone does not cancel billing. Data deletion and any payment adjustment are handled under the Privacy and Refund Policies. Terms needed to resolve outstanding payments, rights, or disputes survive account closure.

If we decide to permanently close MotionLab, we will give account holders at least 30 days' advance notice by email to the address on their account and through a prominent notice on the website. We will state the closure date, when generation and billing will stop, how to download available work, and how to contact us about payments or personal data.

During that notice period, we will keep downloads of work that is still stored available where technically and legally possible. Existing retention periods still apply, so download your work promptly. We will stop new purchases and subscription renewals before closure and explain any earlier cutoff in the notice.

For a planned closure, we will refund the amount paid for unused purchased credits and the unused portion of prepaid subscription access that falls after the closure date. Free, promotional, or bonus credits have no cash refund value. See the Refund Policy for settlement details.

An urgent legal requirement, serious security incident, or event outside our reasonable control may require a shorter notice period or immediate suspension. In that case, we will give as much notice as reasonably possible and explain the available next steps. This exception does not remove any refund or other rights required by law.

Closure does not revoke rights you already have to downloaded outputs, subject to these Terms and applicable third-party rights. Data remaining after closure is handled under the Privacy Policy.

If you believe content infringes your rights, send enough information to identify the content, your rights, and the requested action to support@motionlab.art. We may remove or restrict disputed content and suspend repeat infringers. Our Copyright & IP Policy explains how to submit a notice.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MotionLab is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or losses resulting from relying on an unreviewed output. Subject to the exceptions below, MotionLab's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. They do not limit your entitlement to refunds expressly promised in these policies or your mandatory consumer rights.

If you use MotionLab for a business, to the extent permitted by law you agree to indemnify MotionLab against third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful inputs or use of outputs, or your material breach of these Terms. This does not cover claims caused by MotionLab's own breach or misconduct.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under mandatory consumer or data-protection law, including any applicable cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or complaint rights. Contact support@motionlab.art so we can try to resolve a concern. You remain free to use any court, regulator, payment dispute process, or other remedy available under applicable law.

We will publish updates with a revised date and notify affected users of material changes by email or a prominent service notice before they take effect, unless an urgent legal or security reason requires an earlier change. The notice will explain the effective date. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to a previous purchase.

Where permitted by law, continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. Where consent is required, we will request it. For questions about these Terms or the service, contact MotionLab at support@motionlab.art or through our contact form.
